Fontem and Trent in the wake of brotherhood
The Queen of Fontem, Mrs. Christine Asong visited Trent and the Mariapolis Centre of Cadine. Fontem is the capital of the Bangwa people, one of the most numerous indigenous people of Cameroon. Unlke many other parts of Africa, in Fontem the people live for brotherhood. The Bangwa Queen spoke of her experiences in Trent, making her meet a warm, loving community in the cold climate of Trent.
“How difficult it is to leave Trent,” Mrs. Asong said as she was leaving. Her visit, full of learning moments and meaningful exchanges, was an occasion for dialogue and hope. By her mere presence, she testified that a society founded on brotherhood is possible.
